I have been pursuing my art since the beginning of this century, after having been a french polisher of high quality antique furniture in Germany.

My name is Stewart Carroll and i was born and live on the Fylde Coast. I am 76 years of age and developed this art form 21years ago after retiring from my trade as a French Polisher, taught to me by my father.
I went on to refurbish and restore antique furniture in Germany where i lived for 10 years.
My paintings are abstract in form and take many months to dry because of the amount of materials used. My inspiration for the work was taken from my polishing years, in which i developed the ability to produce a high quality, high shine surface, creating a smooth durable finish.
The Old Masters Collection, have a crazed pattern in the polish giving the painting an aged look. The High Shine Collection, have been polished with a very smooth , vibrant, wet look finish.
The painting come in all sizes to fit any space.
I highly recommend you view my work before purchase as the depth of colour and vibrancy of the image cannot be captured on camera as the surface is highly reflective.
